Day 1: Cairo | Pyramids of Giza , Saqqara & Memphis

Once your flight landing at Cairo airport, Expedition  Egypt representative will be waiting for you, holding a sign with your name, then start your full day excursion with your expert tour guide, will start with a visit to the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus, the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World and The Great Sphinx of Giza which dates from the time of Chephren (2620BC). Travelling to Memphis, the capital of Egypt’s Old Kingdom and now a vast UNESCO World Heritage Site encompassing a number of extraordinary monuments- and Sakkara, one of the most exciting historical and Archaeological areas in all of Egypt. Tour includes Lunch. at the end of your day tour back to your hotel, overnight in Cairo| Meals: Lunch.

Day 2: Egyptian Museum, Citadel & Old Cairo| Final Departure

Breakfast at hotel, our tour guide will escort you to visit the Egyptian Museum, Located in the heart of Cairo, the museum displays an astonishing number of objects- more than 120,000- including priceless artifacts recovered from the tomb of King Tutankhamen by renowned archaeologist Howard Carter. Lunch at local restaurant in Cairo, Then proceed to visit the Citadel of Salah al-Din, a massive compound containing mosques and museums and offering breathtaking views of Cairo. Founded in the seventh century by Arab conquerors, the Fatimid dynasty rulers made Cairo their capital and named it al-Qahira (“the Victorious”). Continue to Coptic Cairo to visit the oldest Coptic churches, the Hanging Church, Church of Abu Serga, Church of St. Barbara. Continue driving to the area of Islamic Cairo, where you will visit Khan El Khalili. Later you will be transferred to Cairo International airport for final departure.|
