Prices are per person, per trip, except during Christmas (15 Dec – 7 Jan), New Year, and Easter (30 Mar – 20 Apr), when rates are typically 50% extra.

Deposit & cancellation

Deposit: $1,000 per person at booking (part of final payment). Balance: due on arrival, cash or credit card.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Cairo, Egypt

Arrive in Cairo; meet your Expedition Egypt representative and transfer to your hotel with views of the pyramids. Welcome drink. Overnight Cairo.

Day 2

The Pyramids & Egyptian Museum

Giza pyramids — optional entry inside a pyramid; camel ride; Solar Boat Museum and Great Sphinx. Lunch at a local restaurant. Egyptian Museum of Antiquities (or Grand Egyptian Museum when open): Mummy Room, pharaohs including Ramses II. Khan el-Khalili Bazaar with a lively treasure-hunt style visit. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

Fly to Luxor

Day 4

Valley of the Kings

Cruising the Nile

Day 5

Edfu & Kom Ombo temples

Temple of Horus at Edfu; cooking lesson on board. Kom Ombo: Greco-Roman temple to Haroeris and Sobek; view mummified crocodiles. Evening: “Egyptian Night” costume party (galabeyyas). Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Aswan

Fly Aswan to Cairo

Depart Cairo

Transfer to the airport for your flight home. Meals: Breakfast.
