Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive Cairo, Egypt
Meet your Expedition Egypt representative and transfer to your Cairo hotel. Welcome drink. Overnight Cairo.
Day 2 - Cairo — Ancient treasures
Visit the Grand Egyptian Museum / Museum of Antiquities — vast collection including Tutankhamun and artefacts to 4000 BC, including the famed Mummy Room (Ramses II and more). Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon at leisure. Meals: breakfast, lunch.
Day 3 - Giza — Pyramids & Sphinx
Giza Plateau: pyramids of Mycerinus and Chefren and the Great Pyramid (Fourth Dynasty, c. 2690 BC) — the only surviving Ancient Wonder. Enter the interior of one pyramid. Ride like a local on camelback. See the Great Sphinx. Meals: breakfast, lunch.
Day 4 - Luxor — Temples of Luxor
Fly to Luxor (ancient Thebes). Karnak Temple and the Great Hypostyle Hall; Temple of Luxor with statues of Ramses II, Courtyard of Ramses II, and Colonnade of Amenhotep III. Board your luxury Nile cruise for lunch. Ships may include MS Mayfair or Mövenpick MS Hamees. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 5 - Valley of the Kings — cruising the Nile
West bank: Colossi of Memnon; Temple of Hatshepsut; Valley of the Kings (UNESCO) — including Tutankhamun’s tomb (discovered 1922). Sail toward Edfu. Overnight on cruise. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 6 - Edfu to Kom Ombo
Temple of Horus at Edfu (230 BC, Ptolemy III). On-board local cooking lesson. Kom Ombo: Greco-Roman temple to Haroeris and Sobek; view mummified crocodiles. Overnight on cruise. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 7 - Aswan — Philae & felucca
Boat to Philae Temple on Agilika (goddess Isis). Granite quarries and Unfinished Obelisk. Felucca around Aswan islands with scenic sundowner (weather permitting). Overnight on cruise. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Aswan to Cairo
Day 9 - Design Your Day (options)
After breakfast, choose one designed activity: Coptic Cairo (Holy Family route, Ben Ezra Synagogue); Islamic Cairo (Moaz Street, Khan el-Khalili); relax on a felucca on the Nile; or add Cairo dinner cruise with belly dance (optional extra — confirm locally). Meals: breakfast.
Day 10 - Depart Cairo
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
